During a family argument on Tuesday in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, a 40-year-old man is accused of killing his younger brother and his sister-in-law. According to the police, the incident took place in Kathua.

According to a police official, the suspect, who has been named as Raj Kumar, was taken into custody and charged for the double homicide.

Officers at the Rajbagh police station received information about Kumar, a resident of Chak Wazir Labzoo, Marheen, who allegedly murdered his brother Naresh (32) and Naresh’s wife Arti Devi (24), using a sharp weapon outside of their home, he said. The information was provided by a resident of Chak Wazir Labzoo.

According to the official, a police unit arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspect after he had left the scene.–(PTI)
