Mohammad Ashraf Palpori calls on Director Agriculture Chowdhary Iqbal

Raises plight of farmers & gets assurance for resdressal of their grievance

Srinagar, Sep 10: Apni Party Youth General Secretary, In-charge Eidgah Constituency and Corporator SMC Mohammad Ashraf Palpori on Saturday called on Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Iqbal and apprised him about the persisting woes of the farmers.

In a statement issued later to the media, Palpori said the plight of farmers has been always neglected and nobody seems to care about their welfare & sustainability.

“The wellbeing of a nation lies in the wellbeing of g it’s farmers whose rights have been scarcely protect by the authorities & the prime cause of their disempowerment lies in the non-visionary rule of erstwhile successive governments whose motive was to milk cows for their own interest,” he said.

Palpori said that Director Agriculture ensured that welfare of farmers remains one of the Agriculture departments prime concern and all necessary measure will be taken to safeguard their interests.

Palpori was also accompanied by Constituency Eidgah Zonal Coordinator Ghulam Mohd. Bhat, Working Committee Chairman Eidgah Ghulam Mohammad Wani, Organiser Eidgah Abdul Gani Mir, Halqa President Kreshibal Abdul Hamid Mir, Halqa President Noorbagh Mohammad Lateef Ali, Youth President Eidgah Sajad Ahmed Bhat, Mohalla President Guzerbal Abdul Aziz Kumar, Mohalla President Chinar Colony Haji Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, Mohalla President Aisha Colony Abdul Hamid Bhat, Mohalla President Hassanabad Shunglipora Mohd Yousf Dar and President Bakshipora Abdul Rahim.

 

Mohammad Ashraf Palpori thanked Director Agriculture for taking time out of his busy schedule for listening to the pleas of farmers and commended his concern for their welfare.
