Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India initiated a programme in 2018 called the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme for the benefit of India’s farmers. The provision of financial support and assistance to farmers who are in possession of land that is suitable for cultivation is the primary purpose of the programme. In accordance with the programme, a sum equal to 6000 Indian Rupees will be deposited into the bank accounts of farmers on an annual basis. In a single fiscal year, the total sum will be credited in three equal payments of 2,000 rupees each.

PM Kisan Installment Patterns
Farmers are eligible for income assistance under this programme. Each farmer can get a maximum of 6000 rupees per year in the form of instalments. The breakdown of the payment schedule can be found in the table that follows:
Installment Payment Schedule Time Period
2,000 rupees from April to July
2,000 from August to November
2,000 rupees from December through March
ACS conducted an in-depth analysis of the data relevant to the connection of the beneficiaries’ bank accounts with revenue records and e-KYC, as well as the linkage of the beneficiaries’ Aadhar cards to their bank accounts. After confirming the income records, he gave orders to the Chief Agriculture Authorities and the nodal officers to get rid of any bottlenecks that were preventing maximum eKYC operations from being carried out.
In addition to this, he participated in a private discussion with the Lead Bank Officers about the process of updating beneficiary information on the platform maintained by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) of the Government of India. He instructed them to make certain that the collection of mandates and the fullest possible data update would be completed by the end of November.
ACS has also requested that the various officers work to resolve any and all technical and website-related concerns, with the goal of causing the beneficiaries as little inconvenience as possible.
Concerning those who were not qualified to get benefits, such as taxpayers and public servants, ACS instructed the officers to compile a list of ineligible beneficiaries and send it to the administration of the university so that they can take the appropriate measures and ensure responsibility.
In addition to this, he instructed the officers to make sure that any qualified recipient who may have been overlooked due to land mutation difficulties would have their problems resolved so that they can take advantage of the programme that the government is offering.
In addition to other senior officers from the Agriculture and Revenue Departments, those present at the meeting included Commissioner Secretary of Revenue Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Special Secretary of Agriculture TK Bhat, Director of Agriculture Jammu KK Sharma, and others. Officers from Kashmir participated online in the meeting.
